WHO WE ARE The Sisters of the Presentation of Mary are an international community serving in 20 countries of the world. In the United States we have two Provinces - Methuen Massachusetts and Manchester, New Hampshire. The Methuen Province was established in 1948 with its Provincial Administration located at Marie Joseph Academy in Biddeford Pool, Maine. With time, Marie Joseph could no longer house both a flourishing Academy and the Provincial Administration. A new house was imminent. In 1957, the Searles Estate, located in Methuen, Massachusetts, was purchased. This has been the home of the Provincial Administration since. This property accommodates an infirmary for our elderly sisters, a private Academy for girls, two nursery schools and a kindergarten. The Sisters of the Methuen Province minister in the following cities and towns in Maine: Augusta, Biddeford, and Lewiston. Sisters also minister in the following cities and towns in Massachusetts: Gardner, Lawrence, Methuen, Springfield, and Winchendon.
